(122-cm) Front Blade is compatible with Select Series X500, X520, X530, X534, X540, and X590 Multi-Terrain Tractors. Front blade is excellent for pushing snow and loose material. (122-cm) width will completely clear material away from the path of the tractor when blade is in the angled position. Blade is raised and lowered using the tractor lift system; foot pedal on the X500 and X520 and hydraulic on the X530, X534, X540, and X590. An optional blade angling kit is available so the blade angle can be changed from the operator’s seat. Heavy-duty construction gives long life. The blade is constructed of heavy, 0.12-in. A reinforcing angle behind the blade gives extra strength at the working edge. The blade’s cutting edge is made from hardened steel and is replaceable. Adjustable skid shoes on each side of the blade allow the operator to select the correct blading height to match various conditions and job requirements. Skid shoes are adjustable to eight different heights. Seven at 0.5-in. (1.3-cm) increments and one at 1-in. Uniform grading/blading is easier when using the adjustable skid shoes. Skid shoes are replaceable, as they wear out over time. Two large coil springs hold the blade in a vertical working position. The bottom edge will be pushed back if a solid object is struck. Reduces damage to the blade. Prevents the operator from being jolted. The blade can be locked in the vertical position, if desired. Two 50-lb (23-kg) plastic-shell wheel weights (one on each wheel) or up to four 42-lb (19-kg) Quik-Tatch weights are recommended for additional traction. Tire chains are helpful when blading snow. Heavy-duty all-purpose (HDAP) or bar tires are helpful for dirt applications. BM23448 manual angling kit is recommended for the operator convenience of changing the blade angle from the tractor seat.
