Vintage 1937 4 legged deer John Deere watch FOB with a partial chain as shown. This was given out for the Centennial of the steel plow. It measures just about 1 & 1/4 inches across. The chain measures almost 6 inches long. It has some darkening and discoloration that I have not touched. There are no dings or gouges.

John Deere VTG 1837 1937 Centennial Dealer Sign Plow Farm Tractor Advertising. Sign was given to John Deere Dealers to recognize the Centennial year of the company. Heavy, with original hanging hardware. One side features a relief portrait of John Deere himself. “He Gave The World The Steel Plow” is inscribed around Deere. Please look closely at photos. Item has signs of wear on back from hanging on the wall. Front has some stains or marks from unknown cause. After all, this item is at least 86 years old!! No cracks or chips. This is the real deal. Not a later replica and has the original box showing age (rather tattered). 3 inches exactly wide, about 3/16 of an inch thick. Little is known about these but I believe they were either given out as paperweights to Deere implement dealers or company executives. The reverse of the medal is in immaculate condition. Original John Deere copper pennies sign given to John Deere dealers in 1937 to commemorate the Centennial 100 years for John Deere from 1837 to 1937. Each penny measures 8″ diameter so sign if roughly 8″ tall by 16 wide. Still has original hanging chain / hardware which is typically broken or missing. Does have good weight to it. Does have some spotting, which can probably clean up with copper cleaner. I have left as found with patina.
