Offered is an antique single-wheel cultivator / wheel hoe, dating to the late 1800s-early 1900s. This is a heavy, all-steel, human-powered garden and farm implement used for cultivating and weed control before motorized equipment became common. Based on construction details and period-correct hardware, this piece is believed to be an early John Deere-era style cultivator, though no visible brand markings are present on the frame. The blade is stamped and appears original, indicating factory-produced interchangeable parts. This tool retains its original patina, forged steel components, spoked wheel, and adjustable linkage. It makes an excellent decorative display, restoration candidate, or collectible piece of agricultural history. Condition / Flaws (Please Read). Heavy surface rust throughout from age and outdoor storage. No attempt has been made to clean or restore the piece. Pitting and corrosion present, especially on the blade and joints. One joint shows visible wear and corrosion (see close-up photo). Blade is worn and rounded from use. May be missing additional attachments or hardware originally offered. Up for sale is this 5 VTG PRICESS, PARIS, PLOW Special Wrench for John Deere IHC Tractor Old Farm Tool. These wrenches are used. They have some scratches, some tiny dents, and are rusty. You can see this in the photos. THE NEW IMPERIAL WRENCH HAS A CRACK. YOU CAN SEE THIS IN THE 3RD PHOTO. The wrenches have different company names. These wrenches look like they’re not in good shape. For us, it looks like they’re not good to use, only to add to your collection. Total Weight: 4-1/2 lbs. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask. One of the hardest Syracuse Chilled Plow wrenches to find. I have only seen a handful of these wrenches and usually they are pitted so bad that you can’t hardly read the lettering on them. This one has some pitting, but is still good. No cracks, breaks or repairs. Syracuse Chilled Plow was bought by John Deere making this wrench desirable to John Deere collectors as well. This is wrench #582 in my list of Deere wrenches. The 138 wrench doesn’t come up for sale often. This example has had the part number highlighted at some point.
